Two new recent research papers challenge the notion of a "forward guidance puzzle" in monetary policy, arguing it stems either from unrealistic assumptions about policy regimes rather than inherent model flaws or from assuming boundedly rational expectations for firms and households while maintaining rational expectations for financial markets.
